I’m a 35 year old New York native. For the past 10 years I have been an entrepreneur working in the Information Technology industry, focusing on web application development utilizing programming languages such as Perl, Python and Java. I am a one of the creators and PMC members of the Apache Open For Business open source project.
Throughout my life I have had the privilege of visiting cities across the US and Europe. I have lived in New York, Los Angeles, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Atlanta and Charlotte. Los Angeles by far has the best weather, but New York will always be my home.
As a teenager I developed a passion for film and video. I was involved in creating and editing videos for my high school, as well as being a member of a video club, hosted by a local television station.
In early 2005 I joined a production team as a Co-Producer for a short film. The skills I developed as a entrepreneur proved to be a valuable asset that could be re-used in other industries, such as film/video. It was during this production that I met my lovely wife, Liza.
Together Liza and I created several short films. Violet and Isabelle’s Kisses are two that can be viewed on this site. My role, as sole Producer for these projects, was both enlightening and educational. A new focus for my life was discovered and a new journey began.
After first producing and then editing the short film Violet in 2005, I decided to expand my editing skills by participating in the Edit Center’s Final Cut Pro Editing Workshop. During this intensive training I was given the opportunity to edit scenes from actual film footage and left with several scenes cut for a reel (this reel can be viewed under the editing section here). After completing the Final Cut training, I signed up for another workshop on Color Corrections. Later in 2007, I studied Film Marketing and Distribution, Media Business Plans and Entertainment Law for Producers at NYU SCPS.
Today I create composites for various films and develop animated logos, marketing and training videos for corporate web sites. I am also studying computer generated 3D modeling and animation, as well as expanding my skills inĀ digital compositing; to create stunning visual effects for motion pictures. In addition, Liza and I are in early development stages on an exciting web series, which we plan to produce in the near future.
I hope to use this site as a showcase for my projects as well as a resource to help others interested in learning the same. Like most people in this industry, I am always looking for interesting projects to flex my skills on, please feel free to contact me with proposals, questions or general comments.
